Are we moving, or just being moved?

We do the same things every day.
We move to reach the evening.
We wait for the weekend.
We work toward a few days of rest,
as if relief were always scheduled somewhere ahead.
Then we turn our head.
Days have passed.
Years have passed.
And we are still standing in the same place.
Not because we didn’t move.
But because we never had the time to know ourselves.
A life always in advance
The world teaches us to anticipate.
To rush.
To postpone meaning.
First the day.
Then the week.
Then the holidays.
Then later.
There is always a “next” moment
where life is supposed to begin.
But while we are busy arriving somewhere,
time keeps going without asking.
Movement without imprint
We repeat gestures, paths, roles.
We call it routine.
We call it normal.
But repetition alone doesn’t build direction.
It only consumes time.
When everything is designed to keep us moving,
there is no space left to ask
whether the path is ours.
So we move.
And reset.
And start again.
Same point.
Different date.
The real question
Is this the life we want to live,
or the life we have been taught to live?
A life that keeps us busy
so we never stop long enough
to understand who we are.
Because what doesn’t leave an imprint
eventually disappears.
And a life without imprint
passes through us
without ever becoming ours.
