When I was a kid, I existed.<\/p>

I did not have much but I was happy without knowing why.<\/p>

I didn’t think about time.<\/p>

I didn’t try to understand life.<\/p>

I was just inside it.<\/p>

But even back then,<\/p>

I used to ask myself something strange.<\/p>

If I wasn’t here,<\/p>

Who would be in my place?<\/p>

Not in a sad way.<\/p>

Just curiosity.<\/p>

I wondered if someone else could be living this life instead of me.<\/p>

Or if this life existed only because I was here to think it.<\/p>

I didn’t know the words,<\/p>

But I felt the question.<\/p>

Was I my body,<\/p>

Or was I my thoughts?<\/p>

Back then, it didn’t matter.<\/p>

Body and mind were together.<\/p>

And because of that, I was present.<\/p>

I was happy.<\/p>

Then growing up happened.<\/p>

Slowly, existing turned into resisting.<\/p>

Days became something to get through.<\/p>

Time became something to manage.<\/p>

Life became something to endure.<\/p>

The body kept moving.<\/p>

The mind started carrying weight.<\/p>

We learned how to function.<\/p>

Not how to be.<\/p>

Resisting is surviving the day.<\/p>

Existing is being inside it.<\/p>

Resisting repeats time.<\/p>

Existing gives it meaning.<\/p>

And maybe the real joy<\/p>

Is remembering how to exist again.<\/p>
