Leave a Light On

You know that feeling-

that unsure heartbeat

When the dark feels heavy.

A quiet push.

A soft courage.

A small light that guides your eyes

Even when your legs refuse.

Slowly, you begin to see again:

the shapes,

the path,

the brightness you almost missed.
