Ciao.

These days I came back home
to visit my family.

Today I spent some time with my nephew.

At one point I tried to make him laugh,
just improvising something silly.

And suddenly he looked at me
and smiled.

A simple smile.
But the kind only a child can have.

Sincere.
Honest.
Without filters.

We often try to make them laugh.
To make them feel happy.

But sometimes the truth is the opposite.

That smile…
is a favor they give back to us.

It disarms you.
It changes the day.

And for a moment
everything feels lighter.

Maybe the secret
is sometimes to feel like children again.
